Whitsand bay with Polhawn fort in the far distance
Whitsand bay is truly stunning, there are numerous individual beaches on this bay which extends from Rame head, past Polhawn fort and most of the way to
Crafthole in the west.  The Cliffs can be quite steep and challenging so be careful.  Offshore there is the wreck of the Scylia and you can see the Eddystone
lighthouse most days. If you like fishing this is a great place for Sea bass, especially at night (see my fishing section).  This beach is very popular with surfers too. If
you like to have a beach barbecue this is the place for you.  Beware of the tides as it is easy to become cut off on the incoming tide.  The Cornwall coast path runs
all the way above Whitsand bay.
